Payments & Taxation

1. When and how are payments made?

Getting paid is extremely simple:

Experts only need to enter their bank account details once to securely request a payout. There’s no complicated process to receive payments via Stripe or Payoneer — connecting any valid IBAN or bank information is sufficient.

Payout Timeframes:

Transfers via Stripe are typically completed within 3 to 5 business days.

Transfers via Payoneer are generally processed within 1 to 3 business days.

Please note that actual delivery times may vary depending on your country, local bank processes, and business days. However, payments are expected to reach the expert’s account within a maximum of 7 business days.

Tenderely ensures that the entire payment process remains:

✅ Simple

✅ Transparent

✅ Secure

All transactions can be tracked through the platform for full clarity and confidence.

2. In which currency will I be paid?

Tenderely offers multi-currency support for expert payments.

Thanks to its global payment infrastructure powered by Stripe and Payoneer, experts can receive payments in the local currency of their country.

Supported currencies include major options such as:

U.S. Dollar (USD)

Euro (EUR)

British Pound (GBP)

Canadian Dollar (CAD)

Australian Dollar (AUD)

Japanese Yen (JPY)

Turkish Lira (TRY)

among others.

Experts registered with Tenderely can receive payouts in over 100 countries, choosing the currency best suited to their local bank account.

Currency conversion is handled automatically by Stripe or Payoneer at the time of transfer, using current exchange rates and subject to the policies of each provider.

Tenderely’s flexible and globally compatible payment system ensures:

✅ Ease of access,

3. How is the payment amount determined?

At Tenderely, expert compensation is not fixed. For each project, the payment amount is calculated based on the total project value agreed upon by the parties involved.

The platform charges a service fee from this project value. The expert’s net payment is then determined based on the remaining amount.

Before an expert receives a task offer, the exact net amount they will earn is clearly displayed.

The expert can then decide whether to accept or decline the offer based on the proposed compensation. This ensures full transparency and gives experts control over their engagement.

This structure allows each expert’s time, effort, and contribution to be evaluated on a project-by-project basis, ensuring fair and tailored compensation.

4. Are there any deductions during the payment process?

No. There are no additional deductions from the net amount shown to experts. The full amount is credited directly to your digital wallet on the platform.

However, if you choose to withdraw your earnings in a different currency, certain fees may apply. These are processing fees charged by the payment providers (Stripe or Payoneer) and are not controlled by Tenderely. They are automatically applied during the withdrawal process, based on your request.

Currency Conversion Fees:

If your earnings are converted to another currency for withdrawal:

Stripe typically charges a conversion fee between 1% and 2%.

Payoneer charges approximately 0.5% to 2%, depending on the currency and market rates.

Transfer (Withdrawal) Fees:

When transferring funds to your bank account:

Payoneer usually applies a flat fee around 1.50 USD / EUR / GBP.

Stripe may charge between 1% and 3.5%, depending on your country, bank type, and withdrawal method.

These fees are only applied when you initiate a withdrawal from your digital wallet and are entirely external to Tenderely’s platform operations.

5. Do I need to issue an invoice?

Tenderely considers payments made to experts as official income.

As such, depending on your country of residence, you may be required to issue an invoice or declare your earnings in accordance with local tax regulations.

Tenderely does not withhold or deduct taxes on your behalf.

Therefore, you are personally responsible for fulfilling your legal obligations, which may include:

If you are a freelancer, sole proprietor, or operate under a company, you may need to issue an invoice for each project based on your country’s laws.

If you are not required to issue invoices, you may still need to report your earnings as part of your annual income declaration.

Since tax regulations vary widely between countries, we strongly recommend consulting a local tax advisor to understand your obligations clearly.

In summary:

Tenderely does not require invoices to be submitted on the platform.

However, your earnings are considered official income, and it is your responsibility to comply with the tax rules of your country of residence.

6. Who is responsible for tax obligations?

Tenderely does not apply withholding tax or direct tax deductions on payments made to experts.

As a result, all tax obligations related to the income earned on the platform remain the sole responsibility of the expert.

Depending on your country’s tax laws, you may be required to:

Declare your earnings as self-employment or professional income,

Issue an invoice if legally required,

Report your income to relevant tax authorities.

Tenderely is a global platform and does not interfere with country-specific tax systems. However, it emphasizes that experts must manage their tax affairs in full compliance with applicable laws in their country of residence.

We strongly recommend that you consult a licensed accountant or tax advisor in your country to understand your obligations regarding income tax, withholding tax, VAT, and other potential liabilities.
